Even though everything we go
through in our life and in our walk with Christ Jesus, His love gives us
strength and purpose to continue, and to finish our mission trip for 2012. We
left, heading to the Embera territory of Sambu, where my wife, Norelia is from.
She was sad that she could not go with our team. We visited three villages
along the banks of the river for 10 days. Our objective was exploratory in
nature and at the same time it was to make the love of Christ known to our
Embera people.
We did workshops for youth, for
families, and for missions in the church there. We used audio/visual methods
and presented the Jesus film in Embera. During the week, we prayed for
families and for youth that faced huge challenges in their lives with alcohol,
drugs, and even involvement with the guerilla warfare. We also prayed
for our land that God would guide us as to where the center of operations would
be for the future Egoro Djiwidi Ministries location. We believe this region
will be the home for our family and mission for the long term.
